The Fortepan site is a gem, thank you….so many photos of the hometown of my ex husband……with groups of very identifiable people. So fun to search for cities, surnames, Balaton etc. Have not even gotten to the Proud and Torn website yet.

WOW!! What a project of love! I really am thrilled that you focused on the women, as you note, who were often in the shadow of everything that went on; however, would have been truly the backbone to it all!

So beautifully done and I cannot wait to look at the project itself!

I, too, am inspired to take all that I have and put it to a chronological format and do even more research!

What an amazing project! It’s incredibly well done. Thank you for giving us the backstory on it. It inspires me to attempt to do something similar with my Hungarian family history.
