Here is the place to connect with László, István, or Jenő. They would love to hear your thoughts on the zither – citera and the presentation!

Lovely sound. We had acquired one used locally after missing the opportunity to buy one from Tibot Gats at the 2013 Smithsonian Folklife Festival in Washington, DC, which featured greater Hungary as its major focus. We have used his PDF manual to learn to play, but have unfortunately not had the time to progress beyond the initial playing stage.

What an enjoyable presentation! I actually watched it three times, alone, then with my daughter while we made dinner and again with my Mom as we ate!
It has such a lovely sound!
Where can we find one in the USA? We loved the bonus at the end!

          Thank you for sharing

At family gatherings my grandfather always played his homemade zither. So listening to the music on the presentation brought back many memories. Not sure what happened to his zither after he died. Nice to know there’s a place in the states that makes and sells zithers. 😀
