Dear Eve- I saved this presentation for last became I really had no interest in learning about desserts and tea. However I found the whole story very fascinating and listened to the end. Thanks for sharing and for publishing the book- what a journey to publication! (and now I know why I always liked dobos tort so much better than cake- nut flours.) ty

Liz Szabo Vos is my sister and she’s more informed where are Hungarian relatives live. I do remember my mom smuggling money (with us in the car)into Romania to Hungarians in the mid seventies.

I am Charles Szabo (Liz Vos’s oldest brother)and I also grew up in Youngstown, Ohio with an active Hungarian community. I am not a fluent speaker but I know how to play a lot of Hungarian music on piano and violin. 3 of my 4 grandparents were born in Hungary and all of my great-grandparents were born in Hungary.
